The program of instruction offered at the Seminary is designed to offer the traditional academic support for persons who are seeking certification and ordination within their churches. It also offers an introduction to this tradition to others who are seeking spiritual growth.

It is an inclusive program open to representatives of all religious traditions. Courses in the New Thought Christian tradition are offered as electives to all students to familiarize them with this aspect of Christianity. These courses are required for those working in the New Thought Movement.

Its mission is to ensure that all UFBL leaders are well-versed in the teachings of New Thought Christianity and the history of the Foundation.

The Teacher Training Academy is a 12-month intensive training program to which interested persons may apply for admission. Applicants must have the ability to demonstrate an elementary familiarity with Basic Truth Principles, Bible History, Allegorical Bible Interpretation, and the works of Charles Fillmore and H. Emilie Cady.

It is a custom-designed program that can be completed in a minimum of 18 months and a maximum of 3 years.

The program integrates principle, theory and practice that focus on cultivated peak performance, leadership and success in the church. Satisfactory completion of this program qualifies the student to be a candidate for ordination by the UFBL.

In collaboration with the Teacher Training Academy Dean and Ministerial Program Dean, the Credentials and Certification Department is charged with ensuring that potential teacher and ministerial candidates are prepared to come before the Licensing and Ordination (L & O) Committee.

The Licensing and Ordination Committee convene once a year to interview potential candidates in three categories:

1. Teacher Licenses
2. 3-year Ministers License, and
3. Ordination

The names of candidates who have successfully passed the L & O interview, drug test, criminal background check and (where applicable) credit check are submitted to the Board of Directors for approval.
